Erin M. Kelly

Erin M. Kelly is an author, writer, columnist, editor, and journalist. She is the author of How to Wait, her debut collection of poetry, published on May 4, 2018. Her autobiography, The Resilient WriterWheels: Can’t is a Bad Word, was published on May 18, 2020. She enjoys writing in all genres. She was born with cerebral palsy in Seoul, Korea and wants to be recognized for her work rather than her disability. Her work has been published by The Huffington Post, The Good Men Project, Upworthy, The Mighty, and other publications. 

One of her most popular stories, “Reluctant Reliance” is featured in the anthology, Bodies of Truth: Personal Essays on Illness, Disability, and Medicine – co-edited by Dinty W. Moore, Erin Murphy, and Renee K. Nicholson. She has been featured in works by poets Cameron Conaway and John C. Manonne, and has written numerous book reviews throughout her career. In addition, Erin also earned an honorable mention in Praise Song For My Children, by Patricia Jabbeh Wesley.

Erin served as Editor for the memoir, To Cope and to Prevail, written by Dr. Ilse-Rose Warg. Erin is also the 2018 WISE Women honoree in the category of Arts and Letters, a prestigious distinction which was presented to her by WISE Women of Blair County.

Erin also writes a column entitled, “The View from Here”, for The Altoona Mirror, the local newspaper in Altoona, Pennsylvania, addressing the challenges she faces daily.

Her third and most personal book to date, entitled, Mick & Me: The Unlikely Friendship of an Unbeatable Tag-Team, was originally printed by 48 Hour Books on September 27, 2024, and later published by Amazon Book Publishing, LLC in March 2025. This book captures the uncanny friendship and similarities between Erin and Mick Foley, with the official publication date to be determined. The Foreword was written by Mick and the book features pictures throughout his legendary career in professional wrestling.
